Gratitude
Pynthorumkhrah MLA AL Hek along with the family members of Late Tbn H Lamare has expressed their gratitude to friends and families for the support during the sad demise of H Lamare. The MLA also thanked the Rilum and Balang Presbyterian Golflink and Pynthorumkhah besides the Chief Minister, MLAs, political leaders, different clans, staff of NEIGRIHMS. Hek also thanked the people of Pynthorumkhrah constituency, Dorbar Shnong and traffic personnel of Rynjah and Sadar Police Station.

Office bearers
The United Democratic Party, Jaiaw Shyiap Lumpyllon Unit has elected new office bearers on Saturday. The new office bearers are Roybatis Lyngdoh as president, vice president is Synshar Nongsiej, secretary- Pdianghun Nongsiej and 35 other executive members.

Science seminar
The North Eastern India Council for Social Science Research will organise a two-day seminar on “Growth of unplanned towns and cities in the North Eastern Region of India: Problems and Alleviation measures,” at Shillong Law College on November 20 and 21. The chief guest of the inaugural function will be PWD Minister (Buildings), Ampareen Lyngdoh.

Cleaning drive
Mawlai Umshing will conduct a cleaning drive from 8 am on December 18. On this day, the locality will not allow daily wage workers to work and it has directed that residents must come out and cooperate.
