Kharkutta bazaar blaze destroys shops

TURA: Three shops were destroyed in a fire that broke out at Kharkutta bazaar when a canister containing petrol caught fire on Wednesday afternoon.

According to locals, two motorcycle borne persons were pouring the petrol into a container outside a shop with one of them smoking resulting in the fuel catching fire. The flames quickly spread into the shops and also damaged the two wheeler partially.

Locals were quick to react and used water to contain the blaze from spreading further thereby minimizing the damage.

Three shops were completely destroyed while another store was partially damage.
