AGHPSTA leader passes away

TURA: One of the founding presidents of the All Garo Hills Primary School Teachers Association, Crihipson R Marak, passed away on Tuesday. He was 80.

Late Marak was at the forefront of the formation of the teachers’ association in Garo Hills and played a leading role in getting all primary schools under the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) transferred into the state’s education department for better facilities.
