Ex-MDC quits Cong in EJH

JOWAI: Former Tuber MDC Helping Phawa has quit the Congress for “personal reasons”.
Phawa, who is from Mutong village under Khliehriat Assembly constituency, tendered his resignation letter to EJH District Congress Committee president Phervision Nongtdu on Tuesday. “I decided to leave the Congress on personal grounds,” he said and added that he might join a new party in a few days. He might join NPP, BJP and PDF. Phawa joined the Congress’s district unit in 2005 and was elected as MDC in the same year.
