Lok Adalat
The District and Sessions Judge cum Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, West Garo Hills, will organise a National Lok Adalat on all subject matters on the District and Sessions Court premises, Tura at 10 am on December 9. All persons receiving notices from the Court are urged to attend the Lok Adalat.
Cleaning drive
Mawlai Mawiong Rim will organise a cleaning drive on December 18, which will start from 8 am. On this day, the locality will remain close as the residents clean the respective localities.
Waste management
The two-month course on “Certificate Course on Solid Waste Management with Entrepreneurial Development Inputs” funded under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme for Equity Assurance concluded. This course was inaugurated on the August 18 and enrolled a number of participants at Shillong College. 39 participants have successfully completed the course and will be felicitated on Thursday.
SSA meet
A state-level meet will be organised by the Asha Bora Foundation in Shillong. The meeting will discuss the problems faced in everyday life. The programme will involve SSA/RMSA staff, teachers, students, skilled mass and people with disabilities.
