SHILLONG: Candidates for the Special Force-10, and the armed and unarmed branches have appealed to the state government and the police department to declare the merit list.
In a statement to issued on Friday, the candidates said the final hearing was scheduled for November 27 but did not take place as the high court judge, Ved Prakash Vaish, was transferred.
“We are anxious because the upcoming election may further postpone the recruitment,” they said.
The candidates referred to the last high court order of September 25 that said it was open to the state government declaring the merit list.
The notice for recruitment was issued in February 2013.
The candidates told The Shillong Times that there are over 2,751 posts in the Special Force-10, and the armed and unarmed branches. They were worried that the process would take a long time as the elections are nearing.
In this connection, they urged the government and the concerned department to declare the list at the earliest.
