3-day Simsang Festival from Dec 13

WILLIAMNAGAR: The three-day Simsang Festival will begin on December 13 and the inaugural function will be held at the playground of Rongrenggre Government Higher Secondary School.
East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Ram Kumar held a meeting with district officials to select in-charge for different events.
Additional DC Saljong K Marak is the over-all in-charge of the festival that is being organised by the East Garo Hills district administration under the aegis of the Art and Culture Department.
The highlights of the festival will be the Simsang Carnival, indigenous games, singing and dancing competitions, Under-15 cycling, traditional and Indian cooking competition, drawing and painting, volleyball, inter-locality tug of war, declaration of election icon for East Garo Hills, Wangala competition, exhibition football match, song kristan and fashion show, among others.
The three-day extravaganza will conclude with a rock concert on December 15.
