Seminar
The Department of English, Sankardev College, will organise a two-day seminar, sponsored by ICSSR, on December 7-8 on the socio-economic impact on 20th century American poetry.
Meeting
The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association, Mylliem Block, East Khasi Hills unit,will hold its General Meeting on December 5 at the KJP Assembly Hall(opp Aiti Belti New Hope Restaurant, Barik) at 11am. The meeting will discuss various matters on how to strengthen the unit. It will also elect or renew it’s office bearers and executive members for the year 2017-2020. Therefore it requests all the teachers falling under this unit to attend the meeting.
Annual day
The Deputy Controller of Civil Defense, Tura informed that the Annual Day celebration of the Civil Defense and Home Guards department will be held at Rongrenggre Govt. HS School playground, Williamnagar on December 6. The contingents from Border Wing Home Guards Battalion, Shillong, will display the Unison March Drill followed by band display by the Brass Band Party and Pipe Band Party and Mock Drill on Disaster Management.
