SHILLONG: In a perfect example of citizens and police joining hands to curb crime, Seng LongKmie Khanapara and Ri Bhoi police on Monday seized 23kg of ganja from the house of one person from Marwet, Khanapara.
Ri Bhoi SP, R Singh informed that 23kg of ganja was seized from the house of Kabita Devi of Themmarwet Khanapara by officer in Charge of Khanapara and staff.
Kabita Devi was brought to Police Station whereas her husband Dilip Paswan managed to fled away during the raid by Seng Llongkmie khanapara.
Police have registered a case against the accused persons.
According to Singh, after the Seng Longkmie recovered ganja, police conducted house search and recovered more ganja from the roof of the house.
