Award for clean and green locality

TURA: The East Garo Hills district administration will be giving the Clean and Green Award under the Chief Minister’s Youth for Green Campaign Movement for the cleanest locality of Williamnagar during the three-day Simsang Festival, 2017.

According to the East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Kumar, a committee will be inspecting the localities of the town on December 13 to assess the standard of cleanliness being maintained. The award will be given for three categories- first, second and the third. The first cleanest locality will be given a sum of Rs 30,000 while Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 will be given for the second and the third cleanest localities respectively.

The DC also asked the people to cooperate by participating in the program for making Williamnagar town Clean and Green.
