SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) central body has appealed to all petrol pumps in the state to contribute 150 liters of petrol per year to the organisation.
HNYF rationalised its appeal by saying in its letter to the fuel station owners, “The organisation needs the fuel so that it can proceed with the new and pending programmes.”
It added that they would not exceed the mentioned quantity.
When contacted, HNYF general secretary Sadon Blah said some members of the organisation had appealed to petrol pumps for the contribution.
“All this is done from the finance wing. I do not have much information about this,” he said, adding that it is not known whether it is for free or half the amount will be paid.
