SHILLONG: The Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) will organise a public rally at the Malki ground here on Tuesday.
The aim of the rally is to create awareness about the agenda of the party in the run up to the 2018 Assembly elections.
In a statement issued here, the media cell of the party informed that thousands of people are expected to join the rally while parking areas have been designated at Lower Lachumiere, between Lady Hydari Park and Pine Mount School and Seven Set School, IGP Point and the road along MBoSE office.
Meanwhile, MLA Nongkrem and HSPDP president Ardent Basaiawmoit was felicitated at Pomlakrai village on Monday.
The party said Basaiawmoit was honoured for having served the public well and for diligently distributing MLA schemes among the people.
People at the felicitation ceremony raised their hands as a sign that they would take him to victory in the forthcoming elections again.
