SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee is jubilant over Rahul Gandhi becoming the president of AICC.
In a statement on Monday, MPCC president DD Lapang expressed happiness and sent his good wishes and congratulations to the new party president.
Congress minister Deborah Marak said the Rahul at the helm would boost the party and hoped that the new AICC president will usher in change.
The state general secretary of the party, Sanjay Das said it was a joyous moment for the party. “It is the beginning of a new, energised, positive and progressive era in the party under his leadership”, Das said.
