SHILLONG: The Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) has threatened to reveal scams related to Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) PN Syiem who has just resigmed as an MLA and as member of the ruling Congress party.
In a statement issued here HSPDP member, Landoner Sohtun, said that the party in the coming days would reveal the scams involving P N Syiem so that people of the state would not be “misled”.
Reacting to Syiem’s statement that the people are fed up with the HSPDP, Sohtun argued that the people were turning their attention to HSPDP, based on the issues that the party was fighting for.
He questioned why Syiem was very vociferous in criticising HSPDP, UDP and Congress from time to time but did refrain from speaking out against BJP and its ally at the center, the NPP?
Sohtun further questioned whether People’s Democratic Front (PDF) would work together with NPP and BJP after the elections and has cautioned the electorate to be wise while choosing their representatives.
