TURA: The BJP workers in East Garo Hills celebrated the victory of their party in the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Polls on Monday with bursting of fire crackers and exchange of sweets outside their district office in Williamnagar.
“The victory in the two states is an indicator of what is to come in Meghalaya also. We are going to ensure the party’s victory in all three assembly seats of East Garo Hills, next year, because of the strong leadership of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders like Meghalaya in-charge Nalin Kohli and state president Shibun Lyngdoh,” stated East Garo Hills district president Rakesh Marak.
Former state civil service officer (MCS) Santosh R Marak, a contender for the BJP party ticket in Williamnagar added that, “Change is coming to Meghalaya also because people across the state want it and nothing can stop change.”
