Office bearers
The office of the Dorbar Shnong Lawsohtun in its general meeting held recently elected new office bearers with Mitchell Wankhar as Rangbah Shnong, C Raymond Kharshiing as secretary, Haribert Rynjah as treasurer and Kolester Rynjah and Edmund C Nongrum as auditors and others.
Saraswati puja
Rabindranath Tagore Club will celebrate Saraswati puja on January 22 at 10 am followed by Pushpanjali at 12 noon, prasad distribution from 2 pm , Aarati at 6 pm and other cultural programme. It will be held at ABP Road, Laban, Near Laban Bengalee Boys’ L. P. School, Shillong.
Electoral roll
The Electoral Registration Officer, South West Khasi Hills district and Mairang (ST) Assembly Constituency & Mawthadraishan (ST) Assembly Constituency has informed that the list of amendments to the Draft Electoral Roll for Mairang, Mawthadraishan, Ranikor and Mawkyrwat constituencies has been prepared with reference to January 1, 2018 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. A copy of the said roll together with the amendments has been published and will be available for inspection at the office of the Electoral Registration Officer of the respective constituencies.
Camp
The NSS Unit of Nabon Women’s Synod College organised a special camp at Umjathang village from the January 3-8 in which social work activities were carried out and different cultural programmes were conducted.
