Man held for stabbing youth
Kordor Paslein of Mupliang village lodged a complaint that on January 3 around 10.30 pm, Lan Susngi of Nangbah village stabbed his son Sniawmon Ksoo with a knife. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Dr. Norman Tunnel Hospital, Jowai. Police have arrested the accused.

Man dies after falling from running vehicle
On December 20 around 1.30 pm, Pejam M Sangma (23) fell down from a running Mahindra pick-up (ML-08E-2727) near Gambegre Graveyard on Adugre Purakhasia Road (WGH). As a result, victim sustained injuries and was removed to CH Tura for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.

Woman assaults, threatens two persons
Syrpailene Daju lodged a complaint that on January 9 night, Soren Janah along with her sons and daughters attacked the complainant with sharp weapons and attempted to throw her over the bridge near Polo Bazar, causing injuries to her. The victim was admitted at a hospital.
Meanwhile, Soren also verbally abused and threatened Wislinda Umiong on the same night.

Man threatens wife to kidnap children
Arati Deka lodged a complaint that her estranged husband threatened to abduct their two children and that he will harm the complainant.

Body of 56-yr-old found
Lakhon Ryngkhlem, Headman of Mihmyntdu village, West Jaintia Hills, lodged a complaint that on January 14, body of Tom Biam (56) was found hanging near his residence at Khliehshnong Mihmyntdu. Necessary formalities were observed.

Abducted woman rescued
On January 15, miscreants abducted Lamki Phuli (28) from Sahsniang village in West Jaintia Hills under Garampani OP. and during search the victim was recovered from Umpihi village.

FIR against production of fake Puma products
Kridhan Pal Singh, Constitute Advocate of Puma SE on behalf of M/s Puma SE lodged a complaint that some unscrupulous persons/firms are indulged in manufacturing, marketing, distributing, stocking and selling counterfeit Puma products.

Accident
On January 15 around 9.15 pm, one oil tanker (TR-01A-1595) dashed against the rear of car (ML-01-7070) of Commissioner of Taxes, Meghalaya, Shillong at Dulongnar in Ri Bhoi. As a result the car was damaged.

Theft
Reynold Star Jiten lodged a complaint that between January 10 and 11, miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-05K-4194) parked at Lumkshaid, Shillong.
Jonathan Van Aswegen lodged a complaint that between January 5 to 14, 2018 during his absence, miscreants stole his bicycle MBT Rockrider-500 from his residence at 3A Pariat Apartment, Wahdienglieng, Shillong.
Shashi Kant Sharma lodged a complaint that on January 13 around 6.30 pm, miscreants stole two batteries valued around Rs. 16,000 from a truck at Chiehruphi, East Jaintia Hills.

Cheating
Robert Dondor Shullai lodged a complaint that on August 8, 2017 the complainant entered into an agreement with Tarun Singh Negi, Chief Executive Manager, Magnolia World Hospitality, Golflink, Shillong and had provided eight vehicles for hotel services. However, the said company did not comply with the term and conditions of the agreement and was irregular in payment for the hired vehicles compelling the vehicle owners to withdraw their vehicles.
