Ticket aspirant in West Shillong approaches KHNAM

SHILLONG: Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) working president, Adelbert Nongrum has informed that the party has received a letter from an aspiring candidate to contest from Shillong West.
Nongrum said, “We have received a letter from an aspiring candidate from West Shillong constituency. We don’t wish to reveal his name but he is not new to contesting elections. The CEC of the party will examine the matter.”
It may be noted that West Shillong is represented by United Democratic Party (UDP) Paul Lyngdoh for three terms.
He also informed that the regional party has so far announced the names of six candidates who are in the race for the upcoming polls.
They are Innocent Shadap from Nartiang, E.K. Kharraswai from Mawkyrwat, Jaiaw MDC Adelbert Nongrum from North Shillong, Ban L Nongbri from Mawlai, Zaachari Shadap from Mawhati and Moses Kharbithai from Mawryngkneng.
