TURA/shillong: A one-day legal service camp will be held at Asananggre playground by the District Sessions Judge Cum Chairman of District Legal Services Authority in West Garo Hills on January 31.
In this regard, a meeting was convened by the District Sessions Judge with all stakeholders to chalk out an elaborate programme as per the New Model laid down by the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi.
In Shillong, the District Legal Services Authority, East Khasi Hills, will organise a Legal Service Camp at Smit village on January 25.
The camp aims to make people aware of their entitlements under various welfare schemes and strengthening their access to the same, adding that justice is not confined and limited to court based legal services.
