SHILLONG: A 42- year-old school teacher was kidnapped by suspected militants in South Garo Hills in the wee hours of Sunday.
Police said the victim, E. D Sangma hails from Megua Songma village in the International border.
According to police, it was around 2:50 am that a group of about five men entered the house of Sangma and kidnapped him.
Police suspect that the kidnappers may have taken the teacher to Bangladesh.
