TMC announces first list of candidates

TURA: The All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) which has little presence in Garo Hills in Meghalaya has announced its first list of candidates to contest the upcoming assembly elections on February 27.

The party’s candidates to contest from five Garo Hills constituencies were announced on Wednesday.

According to the list, Biplab A Marak will contest from 48-Selsella constituency, Bridar B Marak from 49-Dadenggre constituency, Ajit A Marak from 52-Rangsakona constituency, Nengrin M Sangma from 56-Gambegre constituency and Walseng N Sangma from 45-Tikrikilla constituency.

The party will be putting up more candidates to contest from other seats which will be announced in its next list.
