Boy missing
SHILLONG: A boy identified as Karan Kumar (12) went missing from Pynthorbah-ll since January 9 and a case of suspected kidnapping was egistered. His complexion is dark and height is 4’5″. There is a mole on his chin and neck.
He was wearing red colour T-shirt, brown colour jacket, blue jeans and black shoes at the time of missing. The police informed that any person having knowledge of his whereabouts can contact the following phone numbers immediately. Mother, child killed in accident
SHILLONG: People continue to become victims of road accidents as there is no end to the mishaps occurring in different parts of the State and again four people including a child lost their lives in a spate of road accidents in the state. On Tuesday, one local taxi knocked down one woman identified as Beatrice Lyngkhoi (29) who was carrying her child on her back at Siejlieh in West Khasi Hills. In the incident, the child died on the spot while the woman sustained injuries and was shifted to Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, one truck driven by Wellingti Marak capsized on at Pynker-B village, Ri Bhoi in which one occupant of the truck Rilang Lapasam died on the spot while the handyman sustained injuries.
On Wednesday, one local taxi driven by Niewkorlang Nongdhar (29) fell into a paddy field at Diengpasoh. The driver and four other occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to Hospital.
