SHILLONG: Party functionaries of PDF Mawsynram Unit have extended their support to Congress candidate from Mawsynram, HM Shangpliang.
They are Reagan Kharnaior, Vice-President of PDF Mawsynram Unit and Justine Marwein a member of Mawsynram unit who alleged that former MLA from Mawsynram, PN Syiem is not living upto the expectations of the people. On the same day, the supporters of PDF from Syntein, Laitumsaw, Kyrdoh extended their support to Shangpliang. Meanwhile, a public meeting held at Shilliang Dongki Madan Nongspung, Sohiong on Wednesday was addressed by Congress candidate from Sohiong, HDR Lyngdoh. According to Lyngdoh, the recent assault case where his personal security guards allegedly harassed a driver is only to tarnish the reputation of his security guards. Lyngdoh will file his nomination papers at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills on Saturday .
