Justice Tarun Agarwala appointed CJI of Meghalaya HC

SHILLONG: President Ram Nath Kovind, in a notification dated February 6, appointed Justice Tarun Agarwala, Judge of Allahabad High Court to be the Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.

The incumbent Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, Justice Dinesh Maheshwari is transferred as the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court by the President in consultation with the Chief Justice of India.

Maheshwari has been directed to assume charge of the office of the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court on or before February 20, 2018.
