Aanamika ropes in Purno sister

SHILLONG: Aanamika JG Momin, who is contesting from South Tura, has roped in her grandmother and sister of late NPP leader from Garo Hills, Purno Sangma.
In a statement on Friday, Momin said she had decided to contest after getting the nod and blessings from Teresa A Sangma, sister of Purno.
Agatha Sangma, daughter of Purno is also contesting on NPP ticket from South Tura.
Momin claimed that with the blessings of Purno’s sister, she would be able to make a difference for the overall improvement of people in the constituency by taking up various initiatives.
The candidate with MA in Economics and MBA in marketing said that her focus is on how to empower the modern generation with better educational facilities, employment generation, utilisation of Garo Hills resources, improve basic amenities and ensuring gender equality.
