SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) opposed the move of BK Bajoria School in which the school authorities were alleged to force students to wear the school badge which has the picture of a Hindu god.

In a media release, the HYC said that the move will affect the sentiments of the non-Hindu students.

The organization has urged the school authorities to reconsider the decision by changing the school badge and not to force students to wear the badge.

The organization has given a one- week deadline to the school to change the school badge and threatened to take the matter to higher authorities if they did not change the school badge.
