GUWAHATI: Unidentified motor-cycle borne assailant shot dead a businessman at Hatigaon area in Guwahati city at around 8.30 on Wednesday night triggering panic in the locality.
Businessman Hemant Chosaria was proceeding towards his home at Kailash Nagar area in Hatigaon when the assailants shot him dead from behind and took away his bag that contained daily’s sales proceeds of his grocery wholesale shop located on the main road of Hatigaon.
City police commissioner Hiren Nath informed that police recovered two live 9 mm cartridges from the incident site located only about 50 meters away from Hatigaon police station.
