NCP demands NIA probe into Jonathone’s killing

SHILLONG:  Central leadership of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has asked the Central Government to institute an NIA inquiry into the murder of its candidate from Williamngar, Johnathone N Sangma at Samanda in Garo Hills recently.

The Permanent Secretary of NCP, S R Kohli in a letter to the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh said that apart from the death of   Sangma, the house of another candidate of the NCP from Rongjeng was burnt by some miscreants under the influence of some political parties.

The party leadership has also asked the Union Home Minister to provide sufficient security to all the NCP candidates.
