SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC), Nongthliew unit opposed the alleged use of fake work order through the PWD Road, Sohiong Division as work order meant for repairing of a certain stretch of a particular place was diverted to another place.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Artist Ryntathiang, sports secretary of the HYC, Nongthliew unit went on to allege that the MLA Mairang, Metbah Lyngdoh was involved in repairing the Kyrsen road to Mawiong and Kharthangmaw though the work order was meant for Laitarted road.

He went on to add that the repaired roads, i.e. Kyrsen road to Mawiong and Kharthangmaw were not PWD roads.

Ryntathiang said, “Work order for repairing the Laitarted road was given but there has been no repair work on the road and walking on this road is problematic during rainy days.”
