Women’s Day
The Shillong Assamese Ladies Welfare Club will celebrate International Women’s Day on Thursday at 2 pm at Assam Club Laban with various programmes followed by a cultural show.

Awareness programme
The NSS Unit of St. Anthony’s College Extension, Byndihati Campus organised an awareness programme at Pynurkba, East Jaintia Hills, on February 24, under the leadership of Seven Dar Dkhar, NSS Programme Officer with the coordination of the Pynurkba village headman. The objective of the programme was to spread awareness among school students and parents about the importance of education. The programme also highlighted about the various Government Schemes & Scholarships available for students, Right to Education Act, Open Schooling & Open Universities and others.

Blood camp
The Tura Badminton Association will organise a blood donation camp on March 8 at the BSF Camp in Danakgre in collaboration with the 58th Bn BSF and TAC. Interested donors are urged to contact its Convenor, Armstrong A Sangma for details.
