SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union has warned government offices, companies and agencies to remain closed on Good Friday after obtaining information about offices which will open on this day, a press communiqué stated.
The KSU North Khasi Hills District Unit led by Banjop Maring, Publicity Secretary, met with an official of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) after the office had issued a notice ordering its employees to work on Good Friday.
After the meeting, the Chief Administrative Officer of ICAR issued another notice declaring Good Friday a holiday.
