SC permits coal transportation till May 31

SHILLONG: The Supreme Court on Wednesday extended the deadline for transportation of extracted coal for two more months based on the application moved by the state government.
State government counsel Ranjan Mukherjee said the Apex Court extended the transportation of coal till May 31.
The quantity of extracted coal that is lying in the open is approximately 5 lakh metric tonnes. The last date for transportation was March 31.
