Priyanka starts shooting for Assam Tourism ad films in Jorhat

GUWAHATI: Bollywood actress and Brand Ambassador of Assam Tourism, Priyanka Chopra who arrived in Jorhat in the state on Saturday by a special chartered flight, has got on with her shooting schedule of several short ad films of Awesome Assam campaign launched by Assam Tourism.
The state tourism department has worked out a two-day advertisement films shooting schedule with the actress on Sunday and Monday. She is scheduled left the state on Tuesday.
The actress has been lodged at Thengal Manor, a heritage resort at Jalukonibari off the tea town of Jorhat where she is scheduled to shoot too. She has attended shooting at Banyan Grove heritage resort named after a 150-year-old Banyan tree in the tea countryside in Jorhat and in Kaziranga Golf Resort. She is scheduled to shoot at the rhino abode in Kaziranga National Park too.
The in one of the Assam Tourism commercials Priyanka will be seen as a bride in a traditional Ahom marriage, chak-long.
During the course of her visit, the superstar has been provided with high security comprising of escorts, personals pilots, Viranganas (Assam Police’s women commandos) and special police force headed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
The Assam Tourism Department had signed a two-year agreement in 2016 with Priyanka to promote tourism in the state both at the national and global levels.
