Meghalaya govt effects major bureaucratic exercise

SHILLONG: The State Government has effected   a major bureaucratic reshuffling.  As per the notification issued on   Thursday, Hubert B Marak,  Secretary, Revenue and  Disaster Management  has been transferred as the  Deputy Commissioner of South Garo Hills.

Iona R Sangma has also been relieved of her functions as  Chief Executive Officer of the Meghalaya State Rural Livelihood Society, Director C&RD  and Director,  Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs

Shella N Marak,  South Garo Hills DC has been transferred and posted as Secretary of the Printing and Stationary Department and  Chief Inspector of Boilers and Factories.

Commissioner of Taxes and Excise, Abhishek Bhagotia would now also function as  the Secretary, ERTS whereas  Additional Secretary  Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, CP Gotmare would also function as Director of the  Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs

East Jaintia Hills DC Maham Singh Lhuid, has now been transferred as Additional Secretary to Cooperation department, Director  Corporate Affairs, MeECL and Director Human Resources and Administration of MeECL and its three subsidiary companies

Joint Secretary of Finance and Planning, CVD Diengdoh would now also function as Director, Tourism department whereas joint Secretary, FM Dopth  has been transferred as the Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills.

RC Sohkhlet has been relieved of her functions as the Director of Tourism department  while Arunkumar Kembhavi  would now also function as Director of Community and Rural Development Department apart from being the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.

The Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Sohra  Shantanu Sharma has now been transferred as the Chief Executive Officer of the Meghalaya State Rural Livelihood Society  while C kharkongor has also been relieved of her functions as Trade Advisor and Director of Movement

As per the notification, Wilfred Nongsiej, Joint Secretary of the Water Resources and Soil and Water Conservation department would also function as Trade advisor and Director of Movement

V Syiem, Director, Small Savings has also been relieved of her function  while Anita Kharpor has also been relieved of her functions as Chief Inspector of  Chief Inspector of Boilers and Factories. She however would  function as  Director, Small Savings

Lyngkor Kynjing, BDO Khatarshnong,  will now also hold charge of the  office of SDO (Civil) Sohra Sub-division
