Masked men attempt to burn petrol pump in city

SHILLONG: Masked miscreants in the city recently tried to burn a petrol pump.
On June 3 around 2 am, miscreants went to M/s Assam Auto Agency near KC Secondary School, Laitumkhrah and lit fire on two of the dispensers with kerosene oil with an intention to burn the pump but the fire failed to make any significant damage, the police said.

On the same day, between 8.30 pm and 9 pm, three masked miscreants went to Umtrew Petrol Pump in Ri Bhoi and assaulted the staff, Ramayan Choudhury. The victim was shifted to CHC Umsning.
Tyre burnt
Later that night, around 10 pm, miscreants also burnt tyres at Lad Stadium, Jowai in West Jaintia Hills.
