SHILLONG: The National Sample Survey Office (Field Operations Division) will organize its regional training conference on NSS 76th round from June 12-15 at Conference Hall, Assam House, Laitumkhrah.
The two-day regional training conference will be followed by field training and administration discussion on June 14 and 15 respectively for imparting training on concepts, definitions and procedures for collecting information on drinking water, sanitation, hygiene and housing condition, survey of persons with disabilities.
The data collected through the survey will be used by the Central government and state government for development, planning and policy decisions.
State government also collects the information through enquiry methods using the same terminology and schedules that are specially designed for the survey.
Currently, the National Sample Survey (NSS) will start its 76th round from July 1, 2018 up to December 31, 2018.
