DC notifies on summary of electoral rolls

TURA: The District Election Officer, West Garo Hills Tura has informed that the Election Commission of India, New Delhi has fixed the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls with reference to 01-01-2019 as qualifying date of Intensive Nature. The purpose is to prepare accurate rolls inclusive of all eligible persons as electors.

As per the schedule by the Election Commission of India, the Booth Level Officers will be visiting each and every household under their respective jurisdiction from June 15 to July 10 for field verification of the details of the existing electors.

In addition to this, the BLOs will collect information about un-enrolled eligible citizens (eligible on 10-01-2018), prospective voters (eligible on 01-01-2019), multiple entries/ dead electors/ permanently shifted electors and correction in the Electoral Rolls entries.

Therefore, all concerned have been requested to cooperate in giving their details during the House to House visit by the Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
