SHILLONG: The Central Working Committee of People’s Democratic Front (PDF) and the Zonal Committee of Mawhati Constituency met on Wednesday to discuss the proposed decision to withdraw the one year suspension of MDC James Sylliang.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, working president of PDF, Emlang Lyttan said another meeting with PDF president Ivanlumlang Marbaniang and chairman P.N Syiem will be held on June 18 to further discuss the matter.
Lyttan said the meeting will be held at Mawhati and not Pynursla constituency after another MDC, Grace Kharpuri, was also suspended.
It may be mentioned that Sylliang and Kharpuri were suspended from PDF for one year on allegations of anti-party activities.
However, last month the Mawhati Zonal Committee dissolved the party unit which was again refuted by a section of the party functionaries from the constituency.
