CM to attend Niti Aayog’s annual meet

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will attend the fourth annual meeting of Niti Aayog’s governing council scheduled on Sunday.
An official source told The Shillong Times that priority programmes of the Union Government will be discussed. “There will be discussions in terms of agriculture, marketing and soil health cards. But other subjects are also there,” the official said. NITI Aayog will also discuss on the initiatives of the states in the central programmes. “The CM is focusing on environmental issues, climate change issues to ensure there is sustainable development,” the official said.
