BLO house visits
 As part of the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls with reference to January 1, 2019 as qualifying date, all Booth Level Officers are hereby instructed to visit all houses under their jurisdictions from June 15 to July 10 for verification of the details of the existing electors. This was informed by the Extra Assistant Commissioner (Election), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong.
Utsav Committee
Gour-Nitai Sangha has formed a new Utsav Committee with Rabindra Ghosh as president, Sagar Nandi as general secretary and Sambhu Deb as treasurer. The Utsav will be held from August 11-13, 2018.
Intl Yoga Day
The Shillong Cantonment Board will celebrate the International Day of Yoga on June 21 at the Cantonment Board School playground at 8 am.
The North-Eastern Hill University will celebrate the 4th International Yoga Day on June 21 at 7.30 am in the Multi-Use Convention Hall. The Vice-Chancellor, NEHU will be the chief guest while Didi Neelam from Prajapati Brahmakumari, Shillong will be the guest of honor. The event will include yoga demonstration by Patanjali Yoga Kendra, Shillong, talk on yoga practice by the guest of honor followed by yoga practice session by the Art of Living, Group Leader, Mala Sinha and yoga exhibition.
