SHILLONG: The Mawsynram Constituency Welfare Organisation Shillong (MCWOS) has extended its support to Mawsynram legislator HM Shangpliang who has been demanding creation of the Mawsynram civil sub-division.
Shangpliang made his demand known to the NPP-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance Government recently.
The MCWOS urged the government to pay heed to the requests of the people who are often forced to spend the night in Shillong due to the deplorable condition of roads in the constituency.
The organisation has urged the residents of Mawsynram to attend a public meeting to be held on Saturday at Seng Khasi Hall, Dongneng, to discuss the matter.
