All in the name of stray dogs

SHILLONG: The driver of a government vehicle deputed to pick up a judge hit some stray dogs in Motinagar on June 21 compelling a person to allegedly assault the occupants of the vehicle and also pelt stones at the vehicle, a delayed report said here.
According to an FIR filed by Henest Rymbai and Dipak Debnath, on June 21 at around 9.45 am Debnath was proceeding towards the Pollution Control Board office at Motinagar in a government vehicle (ML01 7529) to pick up Assistant District Judge R. Rymbai when the vehicle dashed against some dogs who were fighting on the road. Following this, a person identified as Elwin Nongkhlaw assaulted the complainants and pelted stones at the vehicle, the FIR stated.
