MLA’s brother looted in Meghalaya

SHILLONG: The brother of  West Shillong MLA, Rishan Rapsang  was robbed and injured by an assailant in his residential premises at Jaiaw Langsning on Wednesday night.

SP City Stephan Rynjah on Thursday told media persons that  the incident happened at around 7.30 PM when Rishan Rapsang just entered his residents premises form his office.

The assailant  who was masked,  most probably used a rod to hit Rapsang   after which he became unconscious and the miscreant   fled away from the scene after snatching his bag.

The exact amount of the money which was looted was not known as police iswas analyzing the CCTV footage which captured the entire incident

The assailant was already waiting in his compound before attacking Rishan Rapsang.

Meanwhile, the 18th West Shillong Block Congress Committee has demanded immediate action in the matter and has asked the police to arrests the culprit.

Family members of Rapsang said that he is out of danger now.
