Banteidor reviews scheme implementation in East Garo Hills

WILLIAMNAGAR: Minister for Agriculture and Horticulture, Sericulture and Weaving, Banteidor Lyngdoh, in the presence of Williamnagar MLA, Marcuise N Marak, Rongjeng MLA, Jim M Sangma, Project Director of DRDA and the District Planning Officer reviewed the implementation of government schemes and projects including the flagship programmes of the Centre in East Garo Hills at the conference hall of Circuit House on Friday. Bringing the government and the administration closer to the people to ensure transparency and accountability was the objective of reviewing implementation of schemes and projects and the officials of all the line departments like agriculture, horticulture, sericulture and weaving, soil and water conservation, PHE, PWD, C&RD, tourism, education, fishery, health and others briefed the minister on the status and implementation of the on-going schemes and projects in the district.
During the review meeting, Williamnagar MLA highlighted the banking and internet problems being faced by the people of Samanda Block and asked the district administration to take up the issue with the concerned authorities.
