Met office predicts heavy rain in NE

GUWAHATI: The Met office has predicted heavy rainfall activity over the Northeastern states in the next five days.
 The Regional Meteorological Centre at Borjhar here said in a press statement issued on Sunday that the current meteorological analysis and numerical model guidance suggested continuation of fairly widespread to widespread rainfall activity with a significant increase in the intensity of rainfall activity over the Northeastern states during the next four to five days.
 As a matter of fact, widespread rainfall activity has been observed over Assam and Meghalaya with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall followed by isolated extremely heavy falls during the past 24 hours. (Contd on P-10)
