The forum also observed that the compound which belongs to the seed farm is encroached unauthorisedly which results in the loss of land by the Meghalaya government. The farm has no full fledged superintendent which has led to the ignorance in the development and proper functioning of the farm. The forum wants the govt to discuss the matter in the Assembly or in a cabinet meeting to seek a way in which the seed farm will provide better services. It added that upgrading of the farm will lead in overall development of the agriculture sector in the state.
