JOWAI: The Dorbar Shnong, Tympang Jowai (Iawmusiang) has expressed its happiness over the action taken by the District Administration, the District Executive Force and Jowai Municipal Board in evicting unauthorised traders from the footpaths in Iawmusiang area.
“We support the move and will support all measures taken by the District Administration to make Iawmusiang a disciplined market area,” the Dorbar Shnong said.
The hawkers while running their businesses along the footpath create problems for the people, particularly students, who have to pass through the main market every day.
“We really appreciate the action taken by the Chief Executive Officer, Jowai Municipal Board, the Deputy Commissioner and also the Superintendent of Police,” the Dorbar stated.
