NONGSTOIN: The teachers from West Khasi Hills have taken up part time jobs as their salary has been pending for three months.
In a statement issued on Monday, A. Nongrem, general secretary of MSSASA, said, “We are forced to take leave from the schools and undertake part time job as the higher authority has delayed our salary.”
The teachers under the banner of Meghalaya SSA School  Teacher  Association (AMSSASTA) district unit have demanded the State Government to release their three months pending salary.
“We demand the State Government for immediate releasing of our pending salary that effect since April to July 2015,” Nongrem said.
He said that the delay of the salary has affected the life of all SSA teachers in the District.
