Rait Laban-Kynjat Phutbol gets motorable PWD link road

SHILLONG: The wait of 40 years for the residents of Kynjat Phutbol, Lumparing to have a road was finally fulfilled as a 200-meter motorable PWD link road at Rait Laban- Kynjat Phutbol was inaugurated on Monday

The one kilometer motorable link road connecting Kynjat Phutbol from the existing PWD road was constructed at a cost of Rs. 82, 88, 200 under the PWD Special Planning Assistance (SPA) scheme.

Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest, local MLA Sanbor Shullai said that the road would greatly benefit the people of Kynjat Phutbol as many have suffered in times of emergency and financially as there was no proper road connectivity.”

He also informed that there were many other projects still under construction in the constituency and urged the contractors to complete the assigned project within the set time line.

Around 300 households in Kynjat Phutbol will benefit as the road is completed.

Local headmen of the area, woman and youth organization beside others were present. In the inauguration of the motorable road.
