Girls Home to exhibit ‘hidden scars’ photos

SHILLONG: A.W. Thomas Girls Home will hold a photo exhibition event titled “Hidden Scars at Jaiaw Lumsyntiew on August 11 from 12 pm to 5 pm..
The photos taken by the girls from the home, under the guidance of Clinton Massar, a professional social worker and a freelance photographer will be exhibited at the Girls Home.
The objective of the exhibition is to help the girls enhance their confidence, skills and to be more aware and thoughtful about their present and future situations.
Another aim is to empower the girls to express their feelings, emotions and also act as a voice to the voiceless.
The programme will start at 11 am with a formal inauguration which will be followed by the photo exhibition.
